An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our customer’s onsite operations based in Peterborough has arisen. In return, we offer a competitive salary plus benefits to include a company uniform, Death In Service Policy, Pension and Sick pay policy and 23 shifts holiday.
The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Engineering Supervisor and will be responsible for:
- Adhering to all health and safety requirements – including writing specific Risk Assessments and Safe Working Procedures
- Ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in line with the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ensuring all information is captured on the CMMS, including booking spares, time, and machine and fault information.
- Servicing, repairing and fault diagnosis of all equipment
- Identify future projects and enhancements to improve throughput and capacity and reduce downtime
- Identifying spares and replacement machine parts to ensure limited downtime
- Implementation of agreed improvements
- Ensuring a good level of housekeeping in all automated areas is maintained
- Ensure all contractors are signed in, a control of contractor document is completed, and that the contractors are monitored and if required, supervised
- Effective communication with your line manager and the other engineers to ensure consistent service and timely resolution to any issues
- Identify CI initiatives, future projects and enhancements to improve throughput and capacity and reduce downtime
- Providing effective communication upstream and downstream with the customer to facilitate the customer’s management of their operation
The successful Maintenance Engineer will have:
- ONC/HNC or equivalent
- Electrical bias preferred
- Proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good customer relations
- Ability to work solo and as part of a team
The hours of work are 6am till 6pm and 6pm till 6am covering Mon-Sun – 4 on, 4 Off.
This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer.
