An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Supervisor in the Peterborough area. The Engineering Supervisor will report directly to the Senior Account Manager.
This role will include but not be limited to the following:
- To work with customer Health & Safety team to ensure best practise across all aspects of the site
- To ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Support the creation and updating of all Health & Safety documentation on site
- Control of contractors on site, through customers permit to work and the use of the customer Health & Safety plan and documentation.
- Day to day line management of the Resident Engineers, including development and formal annual appraisal
- Plan and ensure completion of all preventative maintenance using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ensuring all information is captured on the CMMS, including booking spares, time, and machine fault information, ensure up to date and complete service records are kept for all equipment
- Ensure all reactive maintenance is completed in a timely manner
- Servicing, repairing and fault diagnosis of all equipment
- Timely escalation of issues affecting customers operations to completion
- Ensuring a good level of housekeeping of all automated areas is maintained
- To ensure all company documentation is completed
- Ensure purchasing is completed for all spares and consumable items used on site
- Consistently ensure quality of output
- Identify CI initiatives, future projects and enhancements to improve throughput and capacity and reduce downtime
- Key Interface with site GM & Op’s teams providing effective communication upstream and downstream with the customer
- All aspects of the role to display an effective and consistent management approach
- Travel to and management of other sites will be a future requirement of the role
The successful Engineering Manager will preferably demonstrate:
- HNC or equivalent ideally with an electrical bias
- Proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance
- IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good customer relations
- Extensive knowledge of MS office applications
- Strong team player and mentor
