Maintenance Engineer – Sherburn in Elmet

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join our customers’ onsite operations based in Sherburn in Elmet (LS25). In return, we offer a competitive salary plus benefits to include company uniform, Death in Service Policy and Pension.

The Resident Support Technician will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for:

• Carry out MHE equipment servicing in accordance to the quality standards as set out in the equipment manuals
• To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
• To undertake repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
• Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC
• Prioritise system faults
• To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times
• To ensure quality of output at all times
• To accurately record all work undertaken
• Maintain product flow at all times
• Involvement in continuous improvement activities
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations
• To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company
• To ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels

Knowledge & Experience Required/Desired:

• ONC/HNC or Full B-Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
• A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals and drawings
• Basic understanding of control systems and techniques
• Electrical bias preferred
• Proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time management
• Strong problem solving skills
• Good customer relations
• Ability to work solo and as part of a team

• Able to operate effectively within a rotating shift pattern

The hours of work are 6am till 6pm and 6pm till 6am covering Mon-Sun – Shift Pattern to be confirmed.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician or Similar.
